Mortal Imprints






Every day we walk through places without knowing their history. The way we feel about an environment is primarily based on our own personal views and experiences therefore making it impossible to really know the truth behind a place without the full context.
'Mortal Imprints' is a set of photographs that at first glance appear as normal locations in built up, populated areas around Sheffield. However, each one was the setting of a murder or a serious, violent act. I wanted to document landscapes that appear seemingly 'normal' at first glance yet hidden behind their 'constructed normality' is a much darker, more sinister side.​
